The M Resort & Casino opened in grand fashion to great acclaim on March 1, 2009. Encore Productions produced the grand opening gala, featuring fireworks and an array of performers.
The resort is built around an expansive 30,000 square foot pool area overlooking the Las Vegas strip, which resort owners wanted to be the focal point of the grand opening gala. Encore Productions was tasked with dramatically lighting the environment, setting up an exceptional audio system, and producing the actual show. The event included over 15 performers, an aerialist that floated across the pool tethered to a balloon, and an impressive fireworks display.
This four-day annual event and tradeshow for the National Association of Theater Owners brought over 6,000 attendees to Caesars Palace in 2011 and 2012. Encore produced the opening night party and coordinated logistics for meeting rooms, breakout sessions, and catering.
The Filmmaker’s Luncheon brought some of the most esteemed producers in the industry to the table, serving as a discussion forum focused on the transformation of digital cinema and how it impacts theater owners. The Lionsgate Luncheon was a star-studded event, featuring trailers for upcoming movie releases.
Thousands of Flight Center employees descended upon Caesars Palace in July 2010 for “The World’s Largest Toga Party,” an opening night event that kicked off their incentive weekend.
An awards event for 4,000 attendees was held the following evening in the Paris ballroom, featuring The Dan Band and DJ Samantha Ronson. Encore created an event space featuring an in-the-round stage with 4 thrusts, a secondary performance stage, multiple LineArray audio systems, 120 moving lights, 2,000 linear feet of truss, 82 versa tube LED fixtures, and 8 18k DLP projectors that leveraged 4 massive, 22.5’x40’ screens.
Encore produced Ameriquest’s annual Sales Awards meeting, an event honoring over 1,500 Account Executives from around the country.
Encore was asked to embrace the legacy of this event while taking it to the next level from a creative standpoint, setting the bar for an annual spectacle that the sales force would look forward to attending year after year. The corporate mission had to be delivered in an entertaining way, creating a lasting impression in the minds of attendees.
The event was called the “All-Star Big Spin,” positioning audience members as all-stars for the evening alongside celebrities from the sports and entertainment industries. Encore’s creative team developed the event theme, led creative direction for staging and sets, managed logistic and technical support solutions, delivered entertainment options, and created a variety of unique award delivery devices.
Thematically, the evening was “right on target” as communicated by Ameriquest Senior Management. Attendees responded to the event with unbridled enthusiasm, standing on their feet for most of the evening. It inspired a similarly themed sales promotion that continued its momentum for years to come. Ameriquest noted that sales figures surpassed their wildest expectations following the event.
For the past 2 years, Encore has raised the creative bar for a variety of KronosWorks’ events.
At the beginning of our relationship, KronosWorks was accustomed to “pipe and drape” shows. They realized the need to take the next step and elevate the caliber of their productions, and Encore was the perfect partner. For 2 consecutive years, Encore has customized stock scenic units to significantly enhance the visual caliber of KronosWorks events while meeting strict budgetary requirements.
For the first event, a circular stage was customized to feature the KronoWorks logo, adding a personalized touch to the overall presentation. A widescreen application was implemented for their second event, delivering a new degree of “wow factor” for their audience.
“…the production level of the staging, lights, and event was great. That, coupled with the attention to the little things and professionalism, will make this [event] tough to top next year.” — KronosWorks
Encore Productions produced the AFLAC Territory meetings, a 2-month tour through nine cities across the U.S.
Encore provided two identical yet separate shows for AFLAC. A dedicated Encore crew and suite of gear traveled with the AFLAC team for 2 months, fostering a true sense of continuity, collaboration, partnership and comfort.
AFLAC needed a set that was flexible enough to be customized for multiple ballrooms in different cities, but that looked consistent everywhere the event was held. Our solution was a two-screen stage supported by three separate LED walls using Martin LC Panels. The LED walls were powered with a Catalyst media server, allowing our LD to change the look of the set from speaker to speaker, or customize it per location.
“Thanks to Encore for the consistency and professionalism [that was] brought to our Sales Territory Conferences … The tour was a great success!” — AFLAC
Encore has produced every one of VMware’s worldwide sales kickoffs (WWKO) beginning in 2011. WWKO is VMware’s biggest internal event. In 2015 more than 5,000 attendees came together in New Orleans at the Morial Convention Center. Previous WWKO’s were held at the Venetian & Palazzo Resorts in Las Vegas.
Encore provided all creative, production design, custom videos & graphics, AV, lighting, staging and crew as well as produced multiple general sessions, globally-recognized celebrity thought leaders, headliner entertainment, sales achievement awards and dozens of breakout sessions.
Highlights of WWKO included theme-driven “big thinker” guests such as Sir Richard Branson, Oscar-winning filmmaker James Cameron, a jaw-dropping performance by illusionist David Blane and an awards party hosted by comedienne Kathy Griffin.
As Edward Perotti, Sr. Director of Global People Engagement Programs at VMware, put it, “In my over 20 years of managing, executing and producing large scale corporate events there have been very few partners that I would say consistently step up and exceed my expectations. The team at Encore is one of those partners. They have never missed a step nor have they ever let me or VMware down. There is no other team I would have by my side.”
Encore Productions has partnered with Parker Seminars for several years to produce their annual seminar in Las Vegas, handling every aspect of the event from theme development and program design to logistics and show management.
Encore creates a distinct look & feel for each event. Engaged at all levels of the process, Encore leads the charge for concept development, graphic design, scenic and staging, onscreen media development, speech writing, audiovisual / technical production, and overall show management.
Encore produces the opening session events, which feature live theatrical presentations in support of Parker Seminars’ corporate vision and external messaging. Over the years, talent for these events has ranged from hand balancers and contortionists to martial artists and drummers.
A suite of graphics, animated content and video—all designed and produced by Encore—is leveraged to support the event’s speakers and performers. Encore provides scenic & graphic support for both the main general session room and a variety of other concurrently running meeting rooms. Encore also creates a unique atmosphere for banquet and dinner functions, covering everything from decoration to entertainment.
The event draws over 6000 attendees annually, who walk away from Las Vegas inspired, rejuvenated, confident in their industry, and empowered to continue their work in the chiropractic field.
Encore produced the National Semiconductor 2010 Global Sales Conference at the San Diego Sheraton, a 3-day event attended by 500 employees from around the world.
The Encore team pulled out all the stops for this event, from cutting-edge technology to custom-build stage and screen solutions. A massive, custom-built 12’ x 60’ curved widescreen display was the highlight of the show, leveraging a four-stack projector overlap for edge to edge image blending. Video content was played at full-resolution, streamed from a custom Media Server. The lighting kit included robotic movers as well as LED.
In 2008 Encore produced the Imagine event for Magento, an e-commerce company with a unique point of view recently purchased by eBay.
This was Magento’s first chance to connect with their audience and distinguish themselves from the competition in the retail / e-commerce industry. Imagine was special—much more than “another technology business conference.” They were bringing a unique perspective to the industry, challenging attendees to focus on the things that matter most in the long term when it comes to building a business, including culture, people, leadership, information and brand.
The general session leveraged a 45’ x 26’ screen to display the company’s imagery and messaging, creating a larger-than-life aesthetic symbolic of the company’s grand emergence into and growth within the e-commerce industry. The screen also served as a backdrop for keynote speaker Tim Kring, creator of multiple TV series including Heroes and Touch.
Imagine featured a marketplace / tradeshow forum, sponsored by eBay and a number of other e-commerce partners, along with a variety of smaller social functions. The Tuesday night pool party was an attendee favorite, featuring the Rat Pack and dance routines performed by some of the best show girls in Las Vegas. A DJ set accompanied by the Kitty Kat dancers closed the evening.
Image was a smashing success, with attendees raving that this was “best thing I’ve ever been to”.
